My wife and I together with another couple chose this villa upon the recommendation of some friends who had stayed there previously and we were not disappointed.

We came at the end of November, 2010 and it was a quiet tourist season in this area and we were the only guests at that time. Although we had a two-room unit we actually had the whole building to ourselves and there was no other noise except ours.

The villa (mansion) was very nice on a well landscaped property. It’s close to the common room with good internet service. One of the amenities we didn’t use was the swimming pool. It would be great for guests with children in summer.

The hostesses Federica and Lavina were great! They were hospitable and caring and welcomed us the first night with great Tuscany wine, cheeses and sausages. What a welcome we had in a cold late fall and early winter night.

We enjoyed our four days stay there making short trips to the nearby towns and cities. It’s not far from Florence and Pisa and we enjoyed visiting those two famous cities, the museums and art galleries and of course the Tower of Pisa.

We wish we had come in summer instead of late fall but there’s always the next time, we hope!

One thing I must mention is that I left my i-pad in our room the day we left for Genova on a cruise to Dubai and Federica made it so easy for the return of it to the owner by courier service back to Canada. We hope to have a chance to thank her in person sometime.

In spite of the driving distance from Genova, we are glad that we stay there and it’s a great place for a relaxing holiday for families and friends.
