The location was great for us as we were able to visit other towns for day trips such as Siena (approx 40 mins by car) and Pisa (approx 1.5hr drive). Volterra is the closest town, about 20 mins drive, and we made regular trips there for eating, sightseeing and food shopping. There is a good sized Coop supermarket past the Eni petrol station for your everyday essentials. The view from the villa was beautiful, especially as the sun was setting over the Tuscan hills.
Our apartment was on the first floor overlooking the well maintined garden which was lovely. It was clean and had everything we needed for a young family.
The pool was fantastic and very clean. The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful! Federica gave us tips on where to visit, where to park in a town, best time to go and where to eat. Her invaluable local knowledge was much appreciated! We had a great time during our stay.
