This is just one of those places which have the power to break your vacation routine. I normally go to Tuscanny for sightseeing, good food … But this place put shackles on my legs and made me stay put.
Beautiful vistas, extremely friendly owners, coold evening air (important during the stiffling hot summer as this year), large pool, big apartment … I can go on and on and on. The place is simply perfect and I was sad to leave – and eager to come back.
True, the Villa Sensano is somewhat remote (not great for clubbing) so there’s a drive to the nearest town (Volterra e.g.) but hey – driving throught the great Tuscan countryside is well worth it. There is, however, a small emporium with all the necessities and great wines in stock.
