Just back from Tuscany where we spent 2 wonderful weeks at the Villa Sensano as a family of 2 adults and 3 children. Cannot praise Federica and Lavinia highly enough, who were always helpful and available with local suggestions and recommendations but not intrusive in any way.
Really appreciated their assistance when our 5 year old was sick, Federica went out of her way to help.This really is a wonderful country villa, all apartments clean and spacious, beautiful gardens with tables outside for dining al fresco and fabulous pool with plenty of room for all guests.
Definitely off the beaten track but worth it for the amazing views, and peaceful surroundings with added bonus of restaurant/pizzeria next door.
Great base for visiting San Gimignano, Volterra, Colle di Val d’Esta, Siena, Florence, Pisa and many other charming hilltop Tuscan towns. Very family friendly but lots of couples too, great mix, we hope to return soon.
